This was my birthday as well as the follow up to mothers day and I would not be around....sorry luv. It was an ACU test day, so I got the first chance to ride with other powerbikes and really see what I was up against. First session out the block and I put in a high 54 sec lap which is a start. The sessions rolled on and I steadily got more comfortable with the bike and was also steadily getting faster.

At a few times I was lifting the back of the bike going into paddock hill bend but was still not using all of the available front suspension travel while lifting the back end. There was a lot of travel left in the order of 30mm which also affected the bike being able to hold a tight line around clearways which also in turn affected the ability of the bike to turn in quick on the entry to corners. I backed of the compression damping in a hope to help as the preload was already completely off as used by the previous owner. I guess the owner was a "hard on the brake
square off corner and gas it out" as the rear is also on the firm side even though I have now gone a spring size down on the rear. Just goes to show how different styles suite different setups. The times tumbled as I wound of the front compression and I managed loads of mid and low 53 secs and a best of 52.80 by the end of the day. Not a bad birthday presie.

In contrast to the Aprilia RS250, I was way off the front runners but now after such a new bike I am within a stones throw from my reckoning.
