Go Star is more than just another old bike club doing biking club stuff.
We are also more than just another race team doing racing team stuff. We are a
hybrid of both worlds with other aspects covering all things biking, so even if you are not interested in
track days or touring at least you are with a club who are involved.
We recognize all two wheel motorised vehicles as motorbikes and as such do
not believe one as being superior than the other. In fact in a perfect world we
would all own sportsbikes for racing, scooters for commuting and tourers
for traveling. As such we have and welcome members who ride any type of bike or anything
in between.
We are not limited to any one aspect of biking and members are encouraged to
help forge the direction of Go Star. e.g. Club Events.
If you want to get officially involved in the running of any aspect of Go Star or just want to participate in the many activities then come and join us.
Club
members are encouraged to list their hobbies, skills, experiences
equipment etc that they have and are willing to share with other
club members, whether it be biking or not, and these are listed in
the members only section. This gives members access to a vast
knowledge base of its members from IT engineers to builders and all
sorts of equipment and item members are willing to loan to other
members from tools to videos etc. Many
club members are skilled at servicing motorbikes and would gladly help or
tutor other members on bike maintenance like changing brake pads, oil, clutch
plates, chain and sprockets or more. Membership cost £10 a year which currently goes
towards the cost of this website, flyers, stationery and admin. We
are a non-profit club.
The club also welcomes new and existing bike racers into the
club. You get to share racing tips, tricks, experiences and
more with other racers. All club racers also benefit from preferential
deals from our Sponsors.
You
also get to share the cost of racing with other racers e.g. traveling
cost if possible. All Go Star racing racers also have their own personal
club managed website to promote themselves.
The race
team look to the club members for support. If you are a bike mechanic, body
work expert, old or new racer or just someone that would like to get their hands
dirty then contact us. You will get to watch the best of British bike racing,
The breeding grounds of the future Carl Fogarty, Neil Hogdson, Chris Walker AND
be a part of it. The club could do with more race team members e.g. instructors,
mechanical experts etc. Membership for racers cost £30 a year which currently goes
towards the cost of this website, flyers, stationery and admin. We
are a non-profit club. |
